Complaints

Should you have a complaint against a regulated natural gas company, we recommend that you contact the company first and attempt to have a resolution.  If a resolution is not obtained, please contact our Consumer Services Division at 919-733-9277 or 1-866-380-9816.

The Consumer Services Division will contact the company and may have to consult with our Division or the Public staff’s Legal Division.  Your complaint will be evaluated, and the Consumer Services Division analyst will contact you with the results of the evaluation.

If you are still not satisfied, you will have the option of filing a formal complaint with the Commission.  The Consumer Service Division will give information on how to file a formal complaint.
